Becoming a Relationship Therapist

Throughout my life, I was always passionate about helping others and being able to have an impact on people’s lives. As an Iranian immigrant, I have learned how important human connections are and having a secure and loving relationship with yourself can lead to building healthy connections with others. Having the opportunity to help others navigate through life and to find the inner peace within themselves has become the most fulfilling and rewarding experience in my life.

The best thing about becoming a therapist has been the ability to witness growth and joy in my clients.

Counseling Philosophy

I believe that counseling is a pathway for growth and healing. I promise to always create a non-judgmental and safe environment where you can feel comfortable to explore your feelings and thoughts. I understand that we all go through challenging times in life, and we experience painful and unwanted feelings, I will listen to you with empathy and will bring kindness and hope into therapy room every session where you can feel comfortable with processing your feelings.

Counseling Style and Strengths

I am able to build authentic therapeutic relationships with my clients in which they feel heard, safe, and supported. My counseling style is providing empathy, compassion, and guidance to help you achieve your life goals, process your feelings, and create long-lasting relationships. With my psychoanalytic approach I will gently help you tap into your unconscious mind to recover repressed emotions and will support you to acquire insight into your internal motivators that drive your thoughts and behaviors.

Professional Counseling Background

I have experience working with adults and adolescents with severe mental illness in an Intensive Outpatient Program at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital. I have supported individuals, families, and couples in skill acquisition to increase their coping skills in managing mood and thought disorders. I also have experience in providing therapy in Farsi and have a full understanding of the Middle Eastern culture and background. I truly value the importance of mental health and have clear knowledge of emotional and psychological needs of individuals and couples.
