Becoming a Relationship Therapist
I have felt a passion for helping others and encouraging growth for as long as I can remember. After working with families who have a child with a developmental disorder, I became enamored with assisting couples in creating a collaborative and caring relationship to foster an environment of abundance.
I believe that a secure relationship with yourself is essential in creating lasting and healthy relationships with others. I center my work around the belief that the human experience is truly fulfilled by the connections we have with both ourselves and the people in our lives. I care deeply about being a guiding hand to assist others in reaching goals and meeting the best version of themselves.
Counseling Philosophy
I view therapy as a way to create understanding between both you and your partner, but also between you and yourself. My office is a place to create empathy, love, and connection between couples in a warmhearted and non-judgmental style. I love working with both couples and individuals who have a drive of creating a life that is better than the ones they walked into our door with. I view my role as being somewhat of a coach who is here to work on a game-plan, guide you through difficult moments, and ultimately cheer you on through your success.
My Counseling Style and Strengths
My counseling style is non-judgmental, empathetic, and filled with collaboration. You are in charge of your own growth, but I will be a person to guide you when you feel lost or stuck. I aim towards creating a safe space that allows you to feel comfortable in exploring and processing your thoughts and experiences. I’m here to listen, cheer you on, and provide tools to create a more gratifying life.
Professional Counseling Background
I began my career in the mental health field working with families of youth with both developmental disabilities and/or who were currently experiencing depression, anxiety suicidal ideation, or crisis. Through this experience I recognized the passion I have towards creating change within a family system that could better serve future generations.
I have substantial experience working with individuals seeking out mental health treatment, as well as couples who wish to repair and rebuild their connection after betrayals, couples who want to change conflict patterns, and couples who want to create a “spark" again
