Sarah Wallace
Becoming a Relationship Therapist
I want everyone to have a safe and healing space to share and work on life’s difficulties. I believe relationships are one of the most tender parts of the human experience. The quality of our relationships shape how we feel and motivate the choices we make. I believe that all people are looking for a deep and meaningful life and I am grateful to support my clients in working towards that.

Counseling Philosophy
Therapy can be a tender space that can bring up uncomfortable feelings. I believe it is in those moments of pushing through the hard conversations that growth can happen. My goal is to collaborate with you from a strengths-based approach. I will be your coach that holds the hope, challenges you to look at the hard stuff, and give you skills to empower yourselves in navigating deeper connections with the people you love
My Counseling Style and Strengths
I like to create an open and kind environment for individuals and couples to feel welcome in my room. I utilize clear and direct language to evoke clarity and respect while holding empathy in moments of discomfort. I am confident in having hard conversations and will encourage you to do the same. Making the most of your time is a priority to me. Humor, empathy, and compassion are the driving forces in my therapeutic approach.
Professional Counseling Background
My prior experience was working in nonprofits for disadvantaged youth and families. I have worked with youth and teens who experienced PTSD, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I have led family therapy sessions and supported parents/caregivers with challenges on divorce, single-parenthood, grief, and mental health co-occurring issues. I have worked with teens and adults in the LGBTQ community on navigating difficult relationships with intimate partners, family members, and providers.
