Becoming a Relationship Therapist
I have been labeled a social butterfly throughout the entirety of my life. I have always enjoyed deeply connecting with myself and others. When my personal healing journey brought me to a therapist that truly inspired me, I realized, I too, had the desire and gifts to help others in the way they helped me.
Counseling Philosophy
Genuine connection is key to health and happiness. Developing a safe and trusting relationship with ourselves, each other, and our environment creates a strong foundation for the development of healthier and mutually fulfilling relationships.
I use emotion as the essential ingredient to understand and work with both individual and couple’s relationships. I will share both my intuitive insights and evidence-based skills to help you gain clarity and strengthen your relationships.
Counseling Style and Strengths
I am a trauma-informed, strength-based therapist that provides individual and couples therapy. I view relationships as the foundation for satisfying, fulfilling, and meaningful lives. I offer empathy, safety, compassion, respect, and perspective while helping clients to explore and improve their relationships to themselves, to others, and to the world-at-large.
Professional Counseling Background
Prior to my profession within counseling, I worked within the human and customer service fields. I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals and providing community services.
Since I began my journey as a therapist, my experience includes working with young children, adolescence, individual adults, groups, and couples. My therapeutic experience and special interests include: relational trauma, complex trauma, grief, life transitions, domestic violence, addiction, codependency, and other relationship issues.
