Beyond Monogamy: Working with Consensual Non-Monogamy and Polyamorous Clients

Therapists are increasingly faced with the need to treat clients in consensual/ethical non-monogamous relationships (CNM) but often don’t have the education or training to do so effectively.
This webinar introduces key terms and concepts within the CNM umbrella and reviews commonly used language in the polyamorous community. It explores prevailing attitudes toward polyamory among mental health clinicians and the general public, with particular attention to how these attitudes affect polyamorous individuals.
Join Dr. Dana McNeil, PsyD to increase your understanding of polyamory, reflect on personal biases, and promote clinical practices that avoid pathologizing clients’ relationship structures.
